Highlights from India vs. West Indies, 2nd Test Day 1: Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja helped India regroup after losing four wickets in the second session. 

In the first session, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were unconcerned, but the scenario changed dramatically in the second. India's opening stand of 139 was broken, and India then lost two more wickets for just over 20 runs. Jaiswal was out for 57 off 74 balls to Jason Holder, the only bowler who looked dangerous in the first session. Shubman Gill too failed to make a mark, dropping on 10 before Rohit dropped on 80 off 143. Virat Kohli then made his 500th international appearance, and it took him 21 balls to get going, which he did with a superb drive down the ground.

Rahane fell off the final ball of the second session, indicating that the West Indies had won. However, Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja restored India's dominance, ensuring that the team did not lose a wicket in the third session and setting up the team's second 100-plus stand of the innings. India finished the day with a total of 288/4, with Kohli scoring 87 off 161 and Jadeja scoring 36 off 84.
